We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC 

PROJECT COORDINATOR- ELECTRICAL

Job Purpose:

Management to oversee and manage plant modification projects from initial planning to final handover. This role requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in large-scale EPCC projects within the oil, gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead electrical plant modification projects through all phases, including planning, execution, and handover.
Draft tender documents, including Scope of Work, engineering specifications, and post-award documentation.
Evaluate technical bids and collaborate with procurement teams for contractor selection.


Engineering and Technical Support: Review and approve detailed engineering documents.
Coordinate contractor activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines. Supervise material inspections, installations, and provide technical support during testing and commissioning phases.


Specification and Documentation: Prepare and review specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment, including:
Transformers, HV, MV, and LV Induction Motors.
Power control and earthing cables, AC/DC UPS systems, and Bus Ducts.
Diesel Generators, Neutral Grounding Resistors, MV and LV Switchgears.
Electrical bulk materials.
Perform load flow, short circuit, motor starting, voltage drop, cable sizing, and protection relay coordination studies using ETAP software.


Collaboration and Interface Engineering: Collaborate with departments such as Process, Civil, Piping, Machinery, Static Equipment, and Instrumentation. Provide site support during construction and commissioning phases.

Profile

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 10+ years of direct and relevant experience in project management within large EPCC projects, preferably in the oil, gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries. Proficiency in ETAP software and electrical system studies. Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards and best practices. Specialized training in records management and archiving.

Excellent project management and leadership skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and contractors.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
