Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist

 

Job Purpose

  • The Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist is responsible for managing process and Piping Commissioning during preparation and execution stage of NFXP Offshore Project to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
  • Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist shall ensure that all his scope of work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards applicable.

Your main duties will be to: -

  • Manage all execution of process and piping commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS and co-activities
  • Monitor the contractor piping activities using the OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© software (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System)
  • Monitoring of VENDORS activities during commissioning (SAT, Punch list Closure, OTP etc.…)
  • Maximize onshore commissioning activities vs offshore
  • Make sure that the required commissioning spare parts and special tools are available and ready to use
  • Lead execution for Process and piping commissioning at site (onshore/ offshore) and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management. Review and approval of commissioning deliverable provided by EPC Contractor included Operational Test Procedures
  • Provide guidance and timely review on contractor’s commissioning execution plan and processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance with CONTRACT requirements including codes and standards
  • Ensure coordination and communication for site activities with other disciplines such as Contruction, Hook up and Completion Team and SHE representative and provide technical support with contractor, quality, safety, planning, engineering and start up/ performance testing
  • Review, approve and implement Commissioning system completion and commissioning technical documents prepared by EPC Contractor
  • Ensure CONTRACTOR commissioning submitted all documents as per schedule and timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the EPC contract requirements.
  • Review and propose mitigation for commissioning aspects of the Risk Management Plan and monitor the mitigation when defined
  • Review all commissioning changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.
  • Attend to meetings as required, mentor the trainees to develop their project skills and experience while being on site; Maintain a register of lessons learned

Profile

 

  • Ideally, you will have bachelor's degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
  • Minimum of 10 years of total experiences with at least 6 years demonstrated as commissioning experience in major capital projects
  • Experiences in high pressure test and gross air leak test
  • Hands on experiences with hydraulic oil flushing and Helium leak test
  • Experiences for commissioning execution of critical process equipment (high pressure vessel, PSV, BDV etc.)
  • Experience as interface focal point with multiple contractors on preparation, the execution phase including simops   
  • Experience managed EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas project at many locations
  • Familiar with system completion database ICAPS and OPERCOM methodology
  • Worldwide commissioning experience with contractors or under companies involved in the commissioning and start up support of Offshore production facilities
  • Able to be flexible in terms of organization and to cover time to time the needs of project in other locations (such as offshore)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
