SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for Telecom Field Support Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment)
- Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activities
- Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules
- Is responsible to ensures compliance with HSE Legislation, Company Standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude
- Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity
- Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets
- Performs the updating of technical documentation.
- Gives his contribution in Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.
Main Activities
- Follow up the immediate resolution of critical and challenging system faults within the agreed MTTR.
- Liaise with OEM for issues bordering on level 3 support on the equipment or network.
- Carry out analysis of routine maintenance report with the aim of proactively implementing any recommended corrective action.
- Implementation of major equipment relocation, equipment installation, network reengineering, reconfiguration, and commissioning.
- Carry out corrective maintenance on telecom systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on telecom systems.
- Implement the relocation of equipment in each location extending to the district.
- Installation of equipment as specified in the scope of service.
- Manage device and equipment address plan related to radio and transmission equipment.
- Keep up to update all telecom engineering documents.
- Resolve level 1 and 2 issues on the radio and transmission equipment and network.
- Implementation of any other technical duty as may be assigned by the CNM, SSE or Company.
- Carry out level 1 intervention on the Data and Voice network.
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:
- HND or bachelor’s degree in electronics, software or IT engineering.
- A master’s degree provides an added advantage.
- 5+ years relevenat technical knowledge and experience

- Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Core (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA)
- Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS)
- Certified Telecommunications Analyst (CTA)
